Web Site Hosting

Once your Web site has been designed, it has to be placed on a server (host) so that the rest of the world can access the pages. To make sure your Web site is accessible, you need to select a quality host. Like anything we do at NIW, we strive to be the best.
Network and Server Monitoring
As well as the standard automatic monitoring of the network lines and internet connections, an independent third party organisation constantly monitors the system. This means that 24 hours a day, the network, HTML streams and ASP operation for each of the servers is automatically tested. In the event that an error is detected, at least two support staff are immediately notified by pager, thereby quickly and efficiently rectifying problems. NIW utilise some of the
widest bandwidthconnections available anywhere in the world. A total of 6 OC3 connections are available (2 from each of 3 backbone providers, using BGP4 multihoming redundancy and a 100mbps 100% Etherswitched Network. BGP4 Multihoming immediately switch between backbone providers in the event of a network failure.

Each network router has Dual SDH connections operating at between 2.5 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s for resilience which are connected directly into the backbone of the Internet via the Cable and Wireless and Telewest carrier networks.
